Chintamani Kalabhavan was established in 2011.

In 2010 Mr. Taraporwala donated his 100 to 150 years old two storied building and adjoining land at Tarapur to C.T.E.S Society.

Chairman of our organization Hon'ble Mr. Rajinikanth Bhai Shroff Sir thought that this hundred to one hundred and fifty years old building and the wood carvings should be used for art training.

We started work by taking blessings of Ganapati Bappa & this building was named “Chintamani Kalabhavan”.Each of the doors and windows here has a carved wooden frame.

About 15 to 16 short courses are being conducted in Chintamani Kalabhavan. Also three to six months training in fashion design is also conducted. Amongst these courses ‘The Warli Painting’ is welcomed by the society has a good response.

Mrs. Juili Amit Lal, Mrs.Jasmita Bari, Mrs. Suman Churi were appointed as coaches and Mr. Dilip Lade as watchman. Currently Sneha Dhanmeher, Kavita Arekar, Mrs. Rupali Patil, Mrs. Vasundhara Bhide etc. are working as coaches.

The purpose of starting Chintamani Kalabhavan is not limited to women but to inculcate interest in art among the students. The basic purpose is to make best use of skill for making educational tools and also to cultivate hobbies among children and it needs to start from childhood. Workshops were conducted in different ashram schools like Shigaon, Betegaon, and Ranshet through TATA Steel organization under CSR fund. NSS students were trained. Students should be prepared for self-employment by developing art in children.

Also, when guests are invited during various events in schools and colleges in our institution, they are gifted with art pieces made by the Artists of Chintamani Kalabhavan in their honour. Artistic items are given as gifts to the chief guests present at the annual function held in each department of the organization. These items are also sold in various exhibitions.
